VR Tuned ECU box

Picked up a tuning box from Vividracing locally, a piggyback like the one from Stillen. Anybody else got experience running MAP 7? Even with 94 octane mix the engine runs a little rough and they can't seem to tell me which octane rating I should be running.

Well one they are referring to the car as a 400z in the ad you linked.

i would not run maps with no description of what is required from you or the car??
Piggy backs Force the car to run boost and fuel numbers according to a "map" not necessarily what is good for the engine.

If you force the car into higher maps without fueling, turbo, downpipes etc that are needed it will go pop.

I would never run blind piggy back maps.

I can’t speak for other tuners, but our TruControl maps come from live testing, not guesswork. We monitor AFRs, timing, boost, and more to make sure gains don’t come at the cost of engine health. No blind maps — just safe, proven performance.

We have a tuner on standby if any issues come up they can check your maps and revise. Ditch the VR tuned box and come pick one of ours up.

Are you mixing 110 race fuel and 91 octane, or adding an octane booster to try and create your own 94?

I’m mixing 91 with unleaded 100 in 3:1 ratio to make 93-94. The 110 octane around AZ is leaded apparently.

lead is for lubrication in race or old school applications. It will clog your cats- if you have any- for what it is worth.

Yes, maps are loaded based on the mods and presented maps are 1-7.

If you alter any mods where a revision would be required, you tell me and i'll update the tuner. He then will revise and send straight to your chip on the backend. Easy stuff!
