Hello all,

I found what seems to be a set of old Spoon Sports seats in the corner of my family’s shed. They must have been sitting there for more than 10 years, and have certainly been forgotten about. Can anyone with experience confirm/deny that these are authentic? My father says they were my uncle’s (he has since passed) and that they came with a basket case 71’ Mach 1 (1/4 mile strip/drag) project that never came to fruition. They are super good quality and very comfortable. However, when I quickly google “Spoon Sports seats” I don’t see any like them. Perhaps because times/styles have changed?

One is missing a bracket, but I’m thinking about putting them in my 25’Z with black cloth interior. I think they might could work…I am posting before and after pics.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I had a 71 and a 72 Mach 1 at different times. Resto/Daily drivers that were never completed and ended up selling them.
I see the yellow rear of yours in this picture.

That’s cool man. The yellow one in the background is actually my mother’s 73’ driver (pleather interior, vintage air, stock 351, etc). I still have the 71’ actually. That’s what these seats were supposed to go into. It was going to be just a drag/strip car. I want to try and put them into my 25’ Z Sport with black cloth interior. We’ll see if the 71’ gets done one day. I am going to try.

Thanks for your reply. Have a great day.
