I installed the Screen ProTech matte kit a week ago.
  • Products used:
    • Matte PPF with a slip solution (supplied but is water + a drop of baby shampoo) on the infotainment screen, main dials, all buttons, and the three dashboard gauges.
    • HD gloss PPF (as supplied) on the main instrument cluster.
  • Prep and environment:
    • Thoroughly wet each surface with the slip solution.
    • Cleaned with the supplied squeegee and a lint‑free cloth.
    • Humidified the cabin with a separate spray bottle to settle dust (New Mexico humidity <20%).
  • Installation experience:
    • Infotainment screen: Went on smoothly and was easy to align using plenty of slip solution.
    • Buttons: Used slip solution (avoided the tack/plain water method to retain adjustability, per instructions). Alignment was finicky, but the slip solution worked well for fine adjustments.
    • Center gauges: Difficult to center and to remove air bubbles. I couldn’t use the supplied squeegee, so I used a soft‑edge pry tool and my finger. I wasn’t sure the matte film would suit the center gauges, which are clear lenses rather than layered, backlit LCDs.
  • Initial results:
    • I removed as many air bubbles as possible and was satisfied initially: no visible bubbles, everything aligned, and just needed curing.
  • After 1 day:
    • Small bubbles appeared on most surfaces. I resisted the urge to adjust. The instructions say this is normal and that bubbles usually dissipate after a few days.
  • After 1 week:
    • All bubbles disappeared without using a heat gun. I did leave the car in the sun for a day or so to warm the cabin.
  • Center gauge outcome:
    • The center gauges did not turn out well. Even after a week, some bubbles remained, and the matte film made them hard to read. I do not recommend matte PPF on the gauges.
    • Removal: I warmed the cabin in the sun, used slip solution where possible, and (with my wife’s fingernails) lifted the film. Some residue remained, but a little moisture (spit) and a very soft cloth removed it. I’m leaving the gauges stock.
  • Final verdict:
    • I’m happy with the overall result: no fingerprints, no bubbles, and only a slight reduction in infotainment screen resolution—worth it to me.
    • It’s a bit pricey, but the pre‑cut pieces save a lot of guesswork.

Main Instrument cluster has a HD gloss finish that is supplied by screen protect. No other option. Went on well with few bubbles that disappeared after a few days.

I got the matte finish for the infotaianment screen and the control panel. I'll install when the weather helps out. The temps here flutcutate 40-50F overnight. I did buy for the screen and the panels .. the glare at time is insanely bright and distracting.

Question for Aussies lurking here. We order the 8" version right?

I'm only looking for the infotainment anti glare.. don't care about the digital dash one.
