for Vic it is

• six character plates - typically 372mm long x 100mm high
• five character plates - typically 315mm long x 100mm high

so the one on that car is 372x100 for reference.

Sadly, that's unsurprising. Off to the aftermarket to save the day we go.

I always notice this on 370s also

The 2009 has the smaller front bracket(bottom pic) while the newer models have this massive wad of plastic (top pic)

I'm hearing you @loudsx was thinking that when I ordered these bad boys. Seeing that black n white slimline Vic plate gives me some measure of confidence it'll not look completely hideous ?

It's best to have plates that are the same size front and back (country laws permitting), then they can easily be swapped over when the front one gets stone chipped and covered in hard to remove bug and tar splats. Although, you could always keep investing in clear plate covers to protect them too.
