I've owned my 2025 Nissan Z Sport about three weeks. This morning on my drive to work on the interstate a small pebble or stone hit my windshield just above where the three gauges are located. It left a noticeable nick or ding about a quarter-inch long. I'm thinking about getting it professionally repaired. I hope by them injecting resin it will be make it unnoticeable. Just hate having to repair my windshield after only three weeks of ownership. I live in Florida and have comprehensive insurance coverage so I'm hoping that it will be covered by my insurance. I was traveling about 68-70 mph and a few cars were ahead of me a fair distance. Just a small stone kicked up from their rear tires is all it took. Anyone experienced having their windshield damaged recently? What are the going rates on a small windshield repair job? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Insurance will usually cover that because it’s a safety issue. They don’t want it to spread or crack.

Yep, also had a similar situation like a month into ownership. I paid $65 for a repair, I can still see it and I'm not gonna lie...it's kind of annoying because I can still see it pretty clearly, but I didn't want to have a full windshield replacement so early into ownership.

I'm hoping with mine being more a scratch into the glass of about 1/4-in. to 1/2-in. in length that the resin and buffering will make it sort of invisible. Out of sight, out of mind.

I had to replace my windshield and had the new one wrapped. It’s like a clear window tint for the outside. Added protection

My windshield took the most brutal hit from a walnut that I’ve experienced. If yours cracked and can be repaired you are lucky it didn’t shatter.
