This isn't a help post as all I did was tape off the plug and then stashed this part somewhere in my house. This is more of a rant post. What the hell was Nissan thinking putting that part right there!? Of course that's gonna get kicked. It's absolutely gobsmackingly retarded! This WILL get kicked out by some passenger at some point with placement like that. It's inevitable. Though I'm glad it seems like it sheared clean... almost like they expected this to happen at some point...

What are ya'lls thoughts on the placement of the additional electrical port below the glove box?

I think its kind of a silly place but it's where my dash-cam is plugged in so hopefully nobody kicks it out. I never really thought about it but now will have to warn my passengers to look out for it.

This is in about the same spot as the 370Z, I just moved it out of the way on the 370z, on my to do list for the new Z

This isn't unique to Z's. Porsche and Lotus also put an outlet in the passenger footwell, and I'm sure other makes do too.
