Not truly a mod but was curious as to any put these on after their initial car purchase?

I bought an off the lot performance trying to save a buck and then I see all the OEM stuff that I could have put on it had I ordered the car.

I was considering the fender flares along with the front and rear mud flaps. However, I wanted to know if anyone already has them with the stock performance wheels? I wasn't planning on using wheel spacers or changing wheels.

Does it appear with the fender flares that wider wheels are a must?

Lastly, how hard would it be to install them after the fact?

I have oem front and rear mud flaps. If I had to do it again I wouldn’t put the fronts on. They don’t add to the aesthetic and are worthless as mud flaps.

The rear looks great, actually help and aren’t too bad to install. You have to drill but they give you templates.

I’ll be watching this thread, I’m interested in oem fender flares

I was looking at the front tire distance to the edge of the existing fender and noticed that it doesnt align. It's just a tad inset. If the fender flares actually push the look of the fender further outward, then either a larger wheel and tire are needed or wheel spacers.

If the fender flares are actually positioned above the fender and dont "flare" out so much, then the above may not be needed.

Could someone post a front to back, Pic in alignment with the car so we could see how far out the flares sit?

Guessing the flares on my NISMO stick out from the wheel arch maybe 3/4ā€. They’re for looks only, as the fender isn’t clearances behind the flares. So getting a lowered super-flush fitment without any rub will be harder with the flares. Reputable sources here say the flares and/or their hardware actually protrude in a little more than without, and reduce inner clearance a tad.
