I want to go on a trip to Portugal in the coming year. I was thinking about renting a Nissan Z for some nice driving there. But, I found out from here https://www.nissanzclub.com/forum/t...n’t-bring-the-new-z-sports-car-to-europe.109/ that it will not be available in Europe; so now, can somebody suggest fun-to-drive choices which are available for renting? Also, open to consider other coupes or sporty options from Nissan or other brands. Looking forward to suggestions from those experienced with rentals in Portugal.

might be a great chance to try out some euro cars that are not available here.

are they right hand in that country?

edit:

right-

What side of the road do they drive on in Portugal? Unlike in the UK, motorists drive on the right-hand side of the road in Portugal and overtake on the left – which can take some adjustment if you're used to driving on the left.

You're right, @jdm-rhd! Renting a European car could be a great way to explore different parts of Portugal at my own pace. Driving in Portugal is like driving in the United States, as they too drive on the right side. As this is my first time going to Portugal, perhaps it's a good idea to hire a local guide for the first few days, so I can understand the roads better and get driving advice from guides such as https://gowithguide.com/portugal/guides

You thought the Z was available in Europe?

Only Japan, Australia and the US have them for sale… apparently the UAE but doubt they’re officially sold there.

Try a euro car, I was in Portugal last week and had a SEAR which is a budget VW / Audi / Lamborghini.

Thanks for the confirmation about the Nissan Z being available only in Japan/Australia/USA, @MattJ2020. Renting a Euro car like the SEAT you had does seem like a good option, given the local availability. I'd be open to considering other fun smaller cars often available for rent in Portugal too. Something nimble and affordable to explore the scenic coastal roads would be ideal.
