Is there a way to stop music from playing randomly when starting the car?

In my 2027 z performance quite often my apple car play suddenly starts playing when it connect to the car, even though I had it on pause... or when I'm not connecting apple car play the built in radio just comes on.
I feel that there should be a setting that I am missing to turn that off so that I control when the music starts.

Is that a software bug or is there a way to configure that?

There are settings for it. I don't recall exactly where they are, but dig deeper into the settings menus. I set mine to always be OFF at start-up.
