Inside Front bumper

Whats the aluminum like on the inside front bumper (right near the edge of front end) LOL? I was trying to put some rivets on the ebay front lip. With one bad leg, I used a angle mirror and saw that piece. I am thinking structural support, etc. Hopefully not any wiring

The two pictures here are from someone on this forum but its not showing that piece.

Very helpful. It looks like I was hitting the small aluminum piece on the second picture. The first picture, the dangling wires are for the sensor on the middle section of the large aluminum piece?
