Hi all,

I’m new to this forum since I purchased a new 26’ Z Sport AT last month.

I hit a pothole last night and am concerned about what could be damaged. So far I don’t see any leaks underneath, no bulges in the tires, or bent wheels.

I’m taking it to a reputable shop to get the suspension and alignment checked. Anything I should specifically look for? My current suspension and wheel set up is completely stock.

I literally just got the car undercoated the day before 😭

Not sure how thorough the alignment tech will be with the rest of the car, but if it’s a reputable shop they’ll make sure nothing‘s bent or broken on the suspension.

Any new noises?
Steering wheel vibration?
General vibration?
is the steering wheel still good and on center?
Does it pull left or right, even slightly, on flat ground?
I’ve hit a lot of crap and never had a fluid leak, but maybe I’ve been lucky. Easy way to check for leaks is to put cardboard underneath to catch any drops. You can also crawl around with a flashlight and check. It’s a month old, so it’s as clean now as it will ever be, so you should see wet spots, oily spots or streaks if something’s leaking.

Welcome!
Fingers crossed that all is OK!

have them check the inside of the wheels too. i hit a pothole years ago that bent the inside of the rim on my supra. it never leaked air, but i did get it repaired anyway

Thanks! As soon as I got home, I looked underneath with a flashlight and didn’t see any leaks.

As for the steering, no unusual vibrations. I am coming from a G37X sedan where the steering is quite different from the Z.

The shop I’m taking it to specializes in GTRs so I’m sure they’ll be able to check the suspension also.
