Guys I got no reason to make this stuff up, you know how long I’ve been here, and even though I keep threatening to go elsewhere, I always seem to get suckered in and keep on waiting
Why so defensive? No one's suggested that you're making anything up. We all saw this transmission issue coming.

I'd be interested if the memo stated "do not disclose to customers". My dealership is still adamant that they havn't received any updates this week.

Maybe because of this comment

“You’re sounding as bad as they are.”

When all I was doing was trying to protect my dealer who was honest and upfront with me

Ok fair, apologies. It’s hard to fathom why Nissan Australia are sharing 'secrets' with dealers who are sharing 'secrets' with customers.. Doesn't seem like a very solid strategy.

I completely agree…and that’s why I said call your dealers, hoping they would have the same information and divulge it.
The thing is, a huge corporation like Nissan should be upfront and honest …explain any reasons for an extended wait. As customers we would respect and trust them a lot more.
The reality is, they seem to be to stubborn and arrogant to admit there is an issue to just own it

That’s crap if true…but honestly I haven’t even seen a proto full stop in WA yet not dealer or customer delivered
Apparently only around 3 coming to WA so this is kinda iffy
And when it says “Dealer used” doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a Nissan dealership reselling, more than likely a dodgy dealer that put an order in
Note “150” on the clock, yet it hasn’t arrived ?‍♀

This is my guess for what it’s worth and I’m not defending it.
WA apparently got three Protos total, because the WA dealers were original told they were not getting Protos so they talked people into ordering coupes…me included.

So it’s obvious that they are buying them off private sellers who got them in the East at inflated prices, and then hoping to on sell again knowing they can’t get any ….very risky because they have obviously paid the 110/120k asking price and now hoping to sell at 150k to make some money. They stand to lose out.

I’d rather buy a BMW, or Porsche for this price.
I for one hope they get burned

I just spoke with Midland, that's exactly it. Purchased privately from interstate. Now advertised for 70% above retail, apparently they sold one like this last week. Risky game alright and probably frowned upon by their district sales manager.

Midland City Nissan is my dealership. Ha, Cheeky bastards.
Lucky we are not in the US then and you got yours a recommended price.
Just gotta keep on waiting now.
I know my dealer mentioned this was happening when I called about the rumour last week.
At the same time he said to me, if you want a refund just ask, no problems at all because we know we have more than enough customers for what we have coming

Seen a couple of deliveries or due for delivery on Facebook today, all auto
Looks like the auto issue was sorted quickly…hopefully the manual issue is also a quick fix.
The fact they are still saying shipment in December gives me hope that it is, but I am honestly so torn at this stage. If I had an extra 20k I’d probably go order a Z4 yesterday.
I could probably afford it, but would be a stretch, and I’m not sure I want to risk it in this climate

Back in the day on this site I said I'd pay 100k at most, and I can tell you right now; nothing's changed. I'd not be paying a dollar more.

We all know there's no coupes arriving this year, it just isn't going to happen. We're pretty much 10 weeks out from Xmas. You still bailing in November @West Aussie?

Personally, I'm giving zero fucks when it arrives. Ideally it'd still be 2 years away because I'd be in Perth by then and not need to transport the bastard. But I do hate, like really fucking hate being fed shit. If they told me Feb 27 next year, and it was rock solid, id be sweet. But telling me a half dozen different times leading to that point, well, that's altogether different.
