Appreciate the post @dangero I'll make some noise when I get home and see if I can rattle some shit free. Far as I see it, the new z isn't going to change my damn life, nor anyone's here. If it happens so be it, if not, maybe I'll do something more intelligent with my coin than buying a second weekender. I'm sure I'm not alone feeling like no fucks are given.

Just heard from my dealer in NZ to say that the hold up is a lack of qualified technicians that are allowed to build the Z. Interesting, as this is the first I've heard this mentioned anywhere.

Manual orders won't be completed until early next year, with a delivery of Autos arriving in November (for NZ at least)

Do they really think that they can get more customers on a list when they can't supply existing Z orders, refers to X -Trail release

Speaking to CarsGuide, Nissan Australia PR boss Karla Leach said the order bank has already reached triple digits ahead of its early 2023 launch.

“We’ve got a couple of hundred orders for e-Power already, and once we’ve got the pricing confirmed later this week, we expect a lot more to come through,” she said.

@Proto Z thought you would find this interesting. I live in Launceston Tasmania, today I'm in Devonport Tasmania for work and one of my colleagues got sent a photo from a friend in Brisbane. My colleague knows I have one on order so said "hey look at this" ?. Random how things happen.

This sounds like another excuse.
First it was covid….then it was chips.
Now other manufacturers are releasing cars and Nissan still can’t, they have to give another excuse that's unique to them….so now it’s qualified technicians.
Given the Z was moved to the new you beaut factory that’s almost fully automated compared to the 370z set up….I call bullshit

So what do you think the real reason is?

I have a very real possibility, but to say so out loud could open me up to being sued.
All I’ll say is it’s no secret that at present Nissan is cash strapped and on the ropes

We can talk about the likelihood of Nissan Australia or even Nissan Global going to receivership all day long. No one speculating on a forum is going to be sued.
