I decided to go for the G900 Pro, hardwire kit, mount and CPL also since its on sale. It may take a week or so before I get it put in but I'll also come back with some pics to show how it turned out.

I'm crazy about that car every time I drive it! I am still getting used to it with not quite 2500 miles yet.

I have been looking around a bit on this and have seen several that advertise as having a lot of "all around" functionality but for my simple needs I only want a drive-time dash cam. I would love to have the all around cameras like my Murano has especially for parking as this Z is low to the ground and close to the curbs in front. There are several on amazon that have multiple cameras which need to be wired. If there were a wireless option I would consider that.
I miss this feature from my r53 pathfinder, that all around camera was bad ass and the quality of the back up cam flawless. I hate the potato cam quality Of the Z.

Redtiger sent me their F17 to review. Got it today, have yet to open the package or start the review. I work in a secure location, so I cannot take it all the way to work and won't. I only agreed to review if we could move it between several vehicles to give a comprehensive review. I'll probably open a thread with the review when done. I only drive my Z back and forth to work ... ~30 miles a day and still in the 1500m break in period, so could a bit.

Congrats on the Z and I know what you mean about not being able to drive it a lot. I've had mine since October and just now have 2500 on it(but I also drive my Z31 a good bit as well). Please do let us know about the vehicle swapping aspect of the dash cam as I'm considering that as well.

I have decided to not use the G900 Pro in my 2024 Performance Z but will instead replace an older dash cam in my Murano with it. In the Z I could not get an unobstructed view because of the large plastic covering which surrounds the mirror. Even using a different mount from them did not help. The unit works great in my 2019 Murano and I'll reconsider what to use in the Z.

My new Z came with a NISSAN "oem" dashcam that sucks. Figured it all out though and have been using it reliably. Glad to have the insurance of it recording shenanigans.

This is the one I have in my GF RX350 and will be installing it on the Z

Its slim and conseals nicely up high and behind the rearview mirror. I dont need real time footage display most bigger units have. It has its own wireless connection you create yo connect to your phone, which also does OTA firmware through your phone. I noticed the firmware downloads faster when your phone is connected to WiFi.

It uses the Viofo app to see the recorded videos. I sprung for the wireless bluetooth button to lock recordings. I need to get a battery pack to run it for constant power for parking alerts. I could plug it in to my car battery, since the unit has a voltage meter to detect when the battery gets below 12.1 volts, the unit will shut off to preserve the battery. I never like my car battery to drain that low and there are times the car is parked for a few days

Does anyone have a video or detailed instructions showing how to get to the rear view mirror power source? I'm looking to connect a dash cam to it with one of those power adapters (also looking for suggestions of adapters). I'm afraid of messing with trim since 40 years ago when my dad and I replaced the speakers in his 1977 Toyota Corolla wagon and broke a lot of clips in the door panels : ) I'm also pretty good at breaking clips when I try and do anything under the hood, which is also seldom and usually a bad idea.

Even better if you have similar video/info about how to get all the way to the rear windshield - my dashcam has a rear camera, but I can't imagine how to hide the wire all the way to the back and onto the hatch.

Thanks!

Ever since an old lady in an SUV ran a red light when I was turning left at a green arrow in my Rogue a few years back and the Cops just didn't give a crap and gave nobody a ticket I have put a dash cam in all my cars.

I like Garmin and got the DC47 and installed it into my new Z about 2 weeks ago. The long cable tucks under the trim super easy and I love that there is an aux power plug right under the glove-box. I got the extra wire tucked under the hinge of the glove-box behind the actual box too so you can't see the wire at all unless you look really hard at the bottom of the pillar on the passenger side by the windshield.

Basically the same in my Frontier but I have it plugged into the USB-A port in the center console directly so you can see it all there.

It's got a super easy app to use and I like that it shows speed and location - also that you can turn off sound recording. Nobody needs to hear what I talk to myself about when I am driving.
