That doesnt seem normal.

I just had 12mth service @8500kms. 10mm left on pads all around.

Yeah surprised me. I'd expect to not have to look too close at that mileage

Seems the dealer mechanic shares my view as it got its 12 month service 4 weeks ago. Never again.

Anyway, just a heads up

I'm surprised you didn't get a warning. Modern cars either show something on the display or the pads have mechanical screechers. Backing plates on rotors is bad news.

Pad wear is so subjective. Driving habits like faster acceleration in stop & go, even at low speeds, really take a toll compared to mega highway miles with no traffic or stops. I met a BMW driver that had original pads after 80k miles but he only braked like 3 times during his long work commute, LOL!
