So far I have the following upgrades installed on my Z:
-CZP Heat Exchanger
-CZP Oil Cooler
-CZP Lower Oil Pan
-Z1 Catch Can w/ drain kit
-Stillen Sway Bars
-Nismo LM-RS1 wheels + Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 tires

I am leaning towards Stillen comp exhaust, AMS intake, LDP (undecided on brand) and a tune from Sonic...however, I have an opportunity to purchase the AMS air-to-water intercooler kit at a decent price, and I'm debating the benefits here. Also possibly worth consideration is the fact that I am located in Arizona so approximately 6 months out of the year we can be well into triple digit heat, 110-115 degrees is pretty normal. Their site claims a "40-degree Farenheight drop in intake air temperature" which sounds great given my climate, but if my goal isn't a 700hp dragstrip special or a track day monster, is this mod really just overkill?

Anyone here have this intercooler upgrade? What's your experience been like, pros and cons?

Before i did a Z1 and AMS intercooler upgrade, i couldn't even get through a 4th gear pull at night in the summer. I had to suspend my tune with Sonic until i upgraded because i couldn't get a decent log without knock retard going nuts.
