Okay, so I know this is a Nissan forum, but I'm hoping there might be someone who has faced a similar decision as I am now...

I currently drive a well sorted out '95 Z32. I'm the 2nd owner, 114k miles, excellent original paint, extensive preventative maintenance done so it looks and drives as a new car.

My dilemma: I'm now almost 100 miles away from my go-to repair shop, Nissan dealers won't touch it, and the only "decent" shop in Tampa has a jerk of an owner who is reluctant to do "small jobs" and is always two-months backed up.

I'm looking for a change due to two reasons: my desire to enter the Porsche world, and thinking a newer car with local dealer support would be advantageous.

So, my target is a 2001 Boxster S with 59k miles, dealer-maintained since new, Florida car, 2 owner, and is slightly modified with throttle body and suspension.

What I think I can get on bringatrailer.com for the Z32 and the Porsche are within a couple thousand of each other.

So, any thoughts?

my 2c

2001 is still 21 years old and Porsche will be more $$ for everything.

i think you would have really missed the z...especially as nice as yours is and it would be hard to find and expensive to get back into one like yours.

I’d go with the Z. Boxsters are a dime a dozen around here and I’ve never been a fan of the “fried egg’ head lights. I never really see Z32’s so it’s more special and is starting to really increase in value.
