@yellowz6mt

I like it - it added the much needed volume. i can still have a normal conversation and listen to the radio. But when i get on it, there is a decent rumble. It should have been setup this way from the start. Makes me think this was Nissan’s original design but added the muffler to pass japan’s noise requirements

The attraction for me was keeping the stock tips. If i didn’t care about the keeping the stock tips, i would just do an after market “muffler delete”.

So if I add something like this below, would I get any drone? I want more sound (I have a MT too). Just don't want to replace the full exhaust and to have to store all those stock parts LOL!

no idea on the drone but i’m sure it would open the sound up better than the a/t muffler. You need to find someone with a muffler delete setup to be sure. Or just drop the m/t muffler to see what that sounds like - should be close to the muffler delete option.

The a/t muffler is tuned for drone. it’s crossover pipe is for cancelling drone. But it’s tuned for the a/t mid pipe. so a/t muffler will not be as clean with the m/t mid pipe.

Some folks prefer the a/t mid pipe and a/t muffler on the m/t for a quieter ride. You could test drive an auto to get an idea for that setup.

Thanks for the quick response. I did drive several AT (Sport, Perf) during my test drives, including the Nismo too but ended up buying the Sport w/ MT. The AT was louder.

I just put an auto exhaust on my Manual. It's definitely louder. Also weighs about 9lbs less.
