Not exactly sure how VIN nomenclature works, but if the VIN is JN1BZ4EH5NM300077, the bold number being the production #, that means there are 77 production cars so far?
Not sure either. Nissan only states in their VIN coding system documentation that they assign numeric characters from 000001 to 999999, but they don't specify if it's sequential. As another example, BMW specifically states that the last 6 digits of their VIN is a sequential production number.

Nissan submitted an updated Model Year 2022 Vehicle Identification Number Coding System (link above) to NHTSA on 10/20/21. The Z is not included in the latest submission which seems normal since it's MY23, but it's interesting that the VIN on this Z has a model year code of N just like all MY22 vehicles. MY23 should pick up with a code of O. Also the check code for VIN JN1BZ4EH5NM300077 should be 0, not 5:

I'm guessing all VIN lookups can only display information based on elements in the VIN that manufacturers have submitted coding data for, for that model year. So right now a decoder will look at this VIN and see that there's a car manufactured by Nissan in Tochigi with a model year 2022, but that's really all the information it can display until they submit further documentation.

If the N code denotes MY22 and low volumes, may make it very valuable in the long run. Remember the 1969 production dates of the 240Z? Those are the most sought after!

There was a guy on Supramkv that was able to pull up some info on preproduction J29s with the VINs. I'll ask him again and report back if there is any progress.
Any updates?

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but some people said if you run the VIN and it shows up as "370Z" it's because it's still on the Z34 chassis.

That's odd, with the preproduction Zupra VIN we were able to see drivetrain, colors, options and so on.

Sadly I think the VIN is a dead end. I reached out some of my friends at dealers and DMVs and no one was able to find anything useful. :(
