I want to perform a brake fluid flush. The last time I did this was two years ago. Last time I checked reservoir the color of the fluid appears the same.
Question is:
If the color hasn't changed, how does one know how much fluid to flush out of each caliper? I asked the robot this question...
Was wondering if anyone has done this service yet and the average cost for the service (if you didn't do the job yourself). I'm still running the factory fluid and seeing how disgusting the factory LSD fluid was after changing it I'm looking at the trans fluid next, especially since I...
I was recently informed by other users on this forum about the angle of my endlinks appearing incorrect.
This is the chronology of my suspension story:
Stock>Sway bars and adjustable endlinks installed>Coilovers installed>Ride height lowered by .75" all around>Endlinks were not adjusted...
I wanted to share my ill-informed experience with the "Race" bushing variant of the Z1 Rear Control arms (Toe, camber, and traction). After I had them installed, a friend of mine told me they won't last long, especially on the street. Since race or solid metal bushings aren't meant to handle...
I've emailed Ecutek about this, and they said since everyone uses the cruise control buttons to select a map, they never bothered to try and use the D-Mode switch. They also said that the switch does other things they dont want to mess with, like stiffer steering? My steering has become...
I've seen posts and posted about soot deposits at the exhaust tips and wanted to provide an update on my experience with it. I used mobil1 0w20 extended performance with high heat protection. No soot deposits at all now. Idk if it is a coincidence or not, but figured I'd report.
Curious, has anyone here with the 9spd auto swapped to the 6spd manual? If so what did that entail? Other than the trans itself, what else? The TCU? The interior shifter panel thing?>
This particular noise has been bugging me for months. At first I thought it was the struts since the strut thread rings were loose so I tightened them and the sound went away. Now it's back and I think it could be the lower control arm. When I tap the control arm it makes a very similar sound...
So I've been looking at some coolers.

Unused and never installed front and rear pads. I bought them by mistake and they've been sitting in their boxes since. I had opened the rear set to check them out so that's why the plastic appears the way it does. But again, never used and brand new.
Since the "400Z" thing started on the Internet, I'd like to propose a new fake name. One that makes more sense than "idk it's 400hp and it's a Z". Honestly I'm tired of confirming people's ignorance of the nomenclature. "Hey is that your 400Z?". Ugh yeah it is...
I present to you:
The Z35...
Every time I go over a bump I hear a metallic squeaking noise, particularly from the rear. Where do I check for squeaking? The hangers? The pipe joints and clamps? Also what kind of lubricant should I use for the hanger bushing?
I think there's an account on this site that may be an AI account that reads and responds to posts. The way it writes looks like something like chatgpt or any LLM would write.
So far I've done two oil changes on my Z and haven't drained the cooler. I'm concerned with mixing fresh oil with spent oil. How do you folks drain the cooler?
I've seen various discussions about which oil to use 0w-20 or 5w-30. My question for my Z which has intakes and exhaust and I tend to drive it in manual mode a lot on the highway and sometimes on the streets, I tend to be in the upper rpm range more often. I was thinking to try a different oil...
I have the ODBLink LX and I can see some data from the car but not the air fuel ratio. Is this something that can be read with a better device or is that data not available through the OSB port?
$29.99 for an oil change when I do it myself it costs a lot more. Yet I just don't want dealer's hands on my car. Idk what it is. I know people that worked in auto shops at the dealer and they're not grimy people. Just don't want my car back at the dealer unless absolutely necessary.
I curbed another rim yesterday (stupid mistake, cut a turn to tight/short). I've seen the Rimblade protectors and some others with mixed reviews. Does anyone have experience with these and some recommendations? Other than "don't curb your rims" because that's a given but sometimes I get lucky...
