I wanted to do what you are about to do, but got impatient waiting for a sport to fall to MSRP. Very curious how it goes for you, because I always thought buying a sport and doing a few key mods (LSD being the primary) was the way to go. Good Luck and keep us posted!
Handles better than any other car I have ever owned, but I also don't mind the bose audio system that everyone craps on.. I do echo everyone else's assessment that it is not an ideal track car. If I were buying for just the track I probably would have went Supra.
There is definitely a wrap, but I've never been sure if it is a clear wrap on black paint or if it's a black wrap on the base color... Either way, it is absolutely not the same kind of paint on a one-tone Black Z.. I've seen one in person, and it does not look remotely similar to the black roof...
Your car does not have the same two-tone paint, so you will never experience the problem he is describing. On two-tone, the black on the roof is totally different than your all-car black paint job.
I don't think there is anything you can do about it. Specifically the the roof and b-pillars. I...
Your post made me curious so I went to a distant race track gas station that had variable octane up to 108.. Filled it up with 94, and was pretty stunned how big of a difference it made. First thing I noticed, the idle smoothed out. Second thing, engine sounds better. Finally, as you said in...
I've been asked if it's the new GTR more times than I've been asked if it's a 400z. The most common solicitation I get is simply, "I love your car. What is it?".
We only have 92 octane here in Washington and I always wonder what I'm missing with that 1 octane difference.. Don't understand why 93 isn't standard everywhere for premium.
I would think most owners would be happy with this news, as a limited production run increases the value a significant amount down the road. Could become a collector's car eventually.
It's strange because I hear stories like yours and see many people agree and say "its just the car", but mine does not feel like this. The only sounds I hear shifting are the normal sounds I've heard in every other MT i've driven. I do sometimes (1 out of 50 maybe?) get a slight "grindy" feel...
I watched pretty much every video review that existed before I bought mine, and there are plenty of reviewers that were either neutral on the suspension or even positive.
It's pretty simple, The Sport/Performance Z was designed to be a daily driver. The "soft" suspension complaint is from...
I can't answer your questions, but I just want to make the following two un-related comments:
1.) As an American owner, I am intensely jealous of your console buttons written in Kanji.
2.) Why in the seven hells do they match a red interior accent with a blue exterior paint job? It should...
Do you guys use hand sanitizer? I remember back in the early 2010s I had an FRS and the same thing happened to my steering wheel thats happening to your shifter knob. I'm pretty sure the reason it was happening was because I was cleaning it with hand sanitizer, a practice that I have since...
In this economy, everything is essentially overpriced. I am really feeling bad for the people out there that paid 15-20k above MSRP and are seeing videos like this.. Talk about a gut punch. I paid MSRP with cash about a year ago, and even I am feeling like an idiot seeing some of these go for 9k...
I live in Washington state that does require front plates. I've had two cars with no front plates (FRS and the Z), been pulled over about 5 times with those cars, and never once had them give me a ticket for it. Friends tell me I'm lucky and they know other people who have got the ticket, but my...
Are you actually making any money? I love my car, and the thought of having a job based on driving it is appealing in some ways, but.. Gas is expensive, we use premium and the mileage we get is.. Not great.
