This is was one of the reasons I got the Z over the Supra. People complain about the soft suspension, but it's deeply preferred if you are daily driving, and the Supra felt like it was too track focused to be a good daily driver. That, and I still can't believe how bad the cabin visibility is in...
I'm scheduling my 10k mile maintenance with the dealership, and noticed they offered a "premium package". Included in this package is BG MOA, BG44K and Front Wipers.
I did a little research and found that BG MOA is an oil treatment, and B44K is fuel treatment. My question to all of you is, are...
Wow was that clip unedited? It sounded like it was recorded underwater in a haunted lake. Definitely have never heard a car make sounds like that in my entire life, I'd have nissan take a look at it.
I thought Sport was limited to 155 and Performance/Nismo was 165? Haven't tested it myself, but I swear I remember reading in an article that the whole point of the rear spoiler was to get it to 165.
Only regret is that I didn't wait for the -10k MSRP discount =P It's a great car, and the prices right now are very attractive. Don't get a Supra if you hate the current BMWs, lol.
I still think about that Las Vegas dealership that had a sport model marked up to 80k just a year and a half ago.. I called them up thinking it was some kind of mistake, and with unflinching determination they told me, "No, that's what the car is worth."
lol.
Paddle shifting is sending a message to the AT box to override what it wants to do and immediately shift up/down. You are not manipulating the gear box, you are just issuing it an order that it will do itself.
A manual transmission means you are physically changing the gears with your own...
All year long, that's the beauty of living in the PNW. Barely snows, very little ice, no salt. (We use sand, but even that I see only a few times a year.)
Yeah I had my 6 year old daughter with me, so wasn't going to make a scene in front of her. I feel you though, under different circumstances the police may have been called. (Especially in my younger years.)
I wonder how much the scummy American dealerships have to do with this.. I remember the first time I test drove a Z at Olympia Nissan, they put on the pressure STRONG and after they insisted on an 12k markup for a "New" Z that already have 250 miles on it and bad exterior/interior color combo, I...
Yeah it surprised me the first time it kicked in, and I did think about trying to disable it, but then after a few times I got used to it and realized I liked it. Seattle & Tacoma have very steep hills with traffic lights, and I do not miss nervously lead footing the break in those situations.
Yeah the manual was always only going to be a short pop that would eventually flatline. Vast majority of people *cannot* drive a stick, and the small number that can dwindles more and more every year. That tiny demographic is certainly over-represented in people who drive sports cars, but still...
Yeah I bought mine in 2023, in the PNW. Even back then, there were plenty of Zs available in rural areas and the east coast, but in my neck of the woods the only Zs you could find were marked up 10k and there were only a few around.
Yeah the Nissan dealership I bought my Z at was absolutely loaded with crossovers and EVs nobody wanted. As I was sitting in one of their sales offices and looking at their insane inventory through a window, I thought about how crazy it is that (at the time) the Z was so rare that four other...
