All you need is an alignment. Specifically mention that the steering wheel needs to be centered; very easy adjustment.

3.0" into a 2.5" isn't as efficient for exhaust flow without a smooth transition. Hitting a steel wall (flange) creates turbulence.

We used to use the GiroDisc Ti shims back when on the Evo 8/9s. It's definitely a track mod; if you need them you already know. SS or rubberized steel is fine for the street.
