Curious as to how you are getting the build date off that? Is it in the VIN itself?
You don't mean the Compliance date? That is very different to the build date... compliance date is the date here, in Australia, that the car passed our ADR compliance standards. All cars (at least in the first...
Not quite sure how that worked - they must have turned them around SUPER quick when they left production...
It's typically 25-30 days by ship from JP to AU (25 days to MEL, 27 to SYD, 30 to BNE).
My dealer reached out to me yesterday about my MT proto allocation.
Nissan Australia have advised that my allocation will have a build date of August 2022 (future tense - made it sound like it hasn't rolled off the production line yet).
No ETA, but even if it rolled out today, it would have to...
Thinking of going the full proto spec and getting some NISSAN Z tyre stickers.
What are everyones thoughts? Too wanky?
Also, anyone who's applied them - are they painful to put on? or pretty straight forward?
I'm a 'watch guy' and was excited when I heard there was going to be an official partnership... then I saw it... and then the price. :(
Like, it has absolutely nothing to do with the Z, other than the 'Fairlady Z' printed on the dial, and the colours. Don't know why they couldn't dress up the...
I'm pretty sure it's just me. I had a car stolen in 2018.
I just checked with ROLLiN' and they had them listed too, but only ask for a 3 year claim history.
Happy days!
Saw some chatter about insurance a few days ago (?)
I jumped into BudgetDirect, as they list the Nissan Z as a car, but when I went through the initial quote process I got this:
Anyone had success?
I had a car stolen in the last 5 years, and wondered if it was just me?
They could be dealer demos?
Even though there are registered cars on the road, full compliance *could* still be pending. Very unlikely, but can import and register pending full compliance (ie, vehicle import approval for limited number of vehicles that are imported for testing/compliance).
As...
I've never really done any structural/bracing modifications before. I guess I'm looking at these thinking they are probably not a bad investment - not overly expensive, and easily removable (ie, to return to 'stock' for whatever reason).
Couple of questions though:
1. Will they actually do...
Seen it in a couple of vids now - trying to remember the other one... think it was either SavageGeese or StraightPipes (or both). SG is Canadian as well I think? Might be the same car?
Are they though?
I noticed everything in the review was in KM/H on the dash... possible the Canadians also butchered the gearbox before they got a hold of it, but I don't know...
Another thing to remember here is that they openly said (and has been said in other reviews) that Nissan won't let...
I've been looking at the black version- looks like a pretty close match to the stock one.
Reckon it would be safe to say fitment would be the same as the 350/370z?
Awesome, thanks mate!
I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron, so will have a crack myself also :)
Actually - did you add a fuse to this? Or just used the one attached to the button you replaced?
(I ordered the physical button just now, and have a spare garage remote - happy days!)
