I took scotchbrite pads and scuffed up the pipe mating surfaces for a bit more ābiteā. Did nothing. Pipe rotated out of position on first drive.
permatex - worth a shot. Probably tack weld is the answer.
Iāll check the brace again - thx.
I was worried about welding and making it permanent, however, I thought about perhaps getting it set where it belongs, drilling a pilot hole through both pipes and sliding a pin into it just far enough so that it goes through both pipes and holds them in place...
I put in the AWE touring exhaust. Iāve gotten a replacement set of clamps from them and torque them properly to their 65 pounds and placed them where they belong. Because of the weight of the resonator / 180 section on the driver side pipe, it constantly rotates down, which makes the tip move...
Slightly off-topic but could use the help. I bought a set of LMRS1s for my heritage and donāt want a pony up $140 each for OEM sensors. Almost 600 a set is strong considering I can get a good pair of Denso or Bosch for about a quarter of that.
My question is, what frequency are these? I believe...
I have the Watanabe Heritage wheels on my 24. In the garage is a new set of Nismo LMRS1 rims (9.5 in front, 10.5 rear with +22 front and rear) anthracite rims waiting for tires. As soon as I can figure out if a 285/35 19 works in the back with a 265/40 in the front I will install.
Iāve read 1...
The OP has a fair question thatās what forums are for. Windshield coverage can vary by state.
It is definitely not a warranty item unless itās a failure for the adhesion, like the Ford bronco had a recall for, or perhaps itās a mounting problem that caused a crack due to non-flexing during...
My wife daily drives hers. Not during the foot of snow day- but sheās back to commuting her 80 mile trek in her 6 speed. Tires are oem and they slip and slide in the summer, so same same in winter.
My heritage is fair weather weekend only but with mods overpowers traction on the best of days...
Thanks, I was just able to buy the Kyushu Heritage / Fairlady Orange with the photo book. If anyone wants it itās still on Amazon with five left. $38.
Hot wheels! They were all over a while ago - might be harder to find now. Also Autoworld brand sold a red one. Hot wheels were mostly blue and yellow. Walmart (yuck) and Kroger (mid Atlantic) had good inventory.
AWE sent me a second set of clamps - said if over tightened they will stretch. They said 50-55 lbs. thatās what I did with the first set, and they didnāt hold. I moved them closer to the end of the joint so they are further away from the solid pie and more on the part of the pipe with the slots...
My AWE touring rattles - the tips are so large that they knock against the rear diffuser cut out. Iāve centered them twice now, changed the clamps with the AWE clamps that they sent as replacements, and torqued them to the recommended 50-55 lbs.
pipes keep rotating back to the position where the...
Because my wife absconded with the first one and decided to use it for her daily. I work for NNA / Infiniti. I got a killer deal on the second one. Couldnāt resist.
Unfortunately, hers is coming off its one year company lease soon - but I bought my Heritage so Iāll have it forever!
Thatās why...
I have 2 Z manuals. The first one I got in Boulder Gray was going to be my weekend car. My wife decided she wanted it, which was surprising giving she commutes about 40 miles a day on a crowded traffic clogged highway. I was surprised she wanted to use a stick for that slog.
Sheās got about...
I removed the rear on both of my Zs - just a sticker with no locating prongs. I use fishing line as a saw to remove it. Then I remove the sticky part with Ardex or Goo Gone. Ardex is better but hard to get as they generally sell to dealers only.
I put the removed Z on the crossbar inside and...
