Just mounted the LMRS1s on my heritage. 22 offset front and rear 9 1/2 in the front 10 1/2 in the rear with wider Michelin tires. 265/285. I just bought a 10 mm spacer for the rear. Lowered the car with the Nismo coil overs.
Glad you had good luck ! Are the AWEs knocking / banging on the x-brace - common with these pipes (mine
do it too).
wish there was a solution other than flattening the brace
Why not just leave the poppers in place, and plug its harness into your eliminator? Understand the weight savings, but probably a lot easier since that passenger side connector appears to be accessible without removing the popper.
They won’t go off if they’ve been unplugged.
It’ll be noisy the first time you drive through areas with false alarms. After you go through the same area and it receives the same alarm from the same door opener or whatever it is, it will eventually mute it out, and you won’t hear it anymore. Trust the process!
I have used the Escort, Valentine, and Uniden brands for many, many years. I chose the unit in R8 for my most recent purchase. (actually my second R8 since my first was stolen at a hotel in Indiana.)
The Valentine falsed a lot. The escorts were OK, but not as long range as the Uniden R8. I also...
It’s easy to go overboard with cleaning products and I have a garage full. I’ve had good luck with the Griots Garage orbitals, they sell a couple of different machines with padsizes, smaller for detail work and larger machines for bigger panels / jobs. I keep a few on hand.
I’ve had good luck...
Mint condition ISR lower down pipes for Nissan Z. Used for only a few hundred miles. Includes everything you see here.
I will ship them at your expense if desired otherwise local pick up in the Easton PA area is fine.
I went with the open Nismo lugs on my LMRS1s. I was trying to find a way to seal the ends of the threads. I wonder if something like those covers is available separately?
The major majority of users state that lower down pipes will not throw a code. That seems to be the case in most instances however, I just took off a set of ISR hi flow cat LDP’s this weekend because they continually throw a code for the second O2 sensor.
I have an AWE touring exhaust setup...
Agreed. Took out the ISR LDPs this afternoon. Back to stock. Next weekend the AWE comes out. Since I work for NNA I’ll go all Nismo.
ISR LDPs and AWE touring for sale soon!
I reached out to AWE - they sent me a new set of clamps. Nice of them, and I installed them, but not the issue. I live close to their shop and asked if I could come by, but they were not agreeable to taking a look.
I can’t blame the CEL on the AWE pipe - I’m sure the combo of the ISR hi flow...
I’ve done race car fabrication for over 25 years, and am the product trainer working for Nissan North America for about 15 years. Worked on all makes from Ferrari to Ford for 45 years. Pretty sure the instal is solid. There’s many reports of AWE rattles and contact with diffuser and x brace on...
Between the rattling, the driver side tip endlessly rotating into the diffuser, and the constant CEL, AWE is coming off.
going to a Nismo exhaust. Had enough of AWE. Too bad - it does sound nice.
