@Ballast Scorcher no reply unsurprisingly, I’m not holding my breath that’s for sure. I did order some new plates though, surprised they weren’t taken already:
In saying that I really think Proto should have only come in manual, seems like the enthusiasts choice of model. Z only really makes sense in manual so I think it’s a bit silly.
Yeah I just sent an email asking if it was possible to keep an eye out for me, I’m really bummed out with the Auto, I’d honestly pay extra just to get manual at this point.
I can only imagine people that ordered auto weren’t happy with the price so turned them down to us? Either way I’ll take any silver lining I can get.
Yeah, I thought about it and to be able to get something this exclusive near the end of the combustion engine era, it would be silly not to. If anything I’ll get the nismo in manual, something to look forward to.
I bit the bullet on the Auto Proto. It’s allocated to me but I’m not locked in, still subject to viewing. I found it interesting that my mate who put a deposit down a month earlier for a Proto hasn’t received a call yet. My guy said 170 Proto’s, this particular dealership got 5 allocations.
Just got my call for a Proto allocation.. Auto though. Probably gonna turn it down, really want the manual. Just goes to show they’re still allocating Proto’s, or maybe this was one that someone else had turned down.
Just wondering if anyone has gotten confirmation for their Proto that put a deposit down after October? I put mine down on the 2nd of October and am assuming I’ve missed out.
Oh I definitely agree, it only takes a few people to put them up for stupid prices and everyone else follows. Look at last model STI’s up for 200k+ it’s insane
I’m hoping you’re right but I’m just preparing for the worst. Keep in mind the 86/BRZ does not have luxury car tax to worry about. Hopefully all is revealed soon
With the release of Japan pricing of 6462000 yen ($70162 AUD) for what looks like the performance spec, I thought I’d compare it to our supra prices to see what it could cost us if the conversion is similar. Top of the line supra in Japan costs 7313000 yen ($79500 AUD) and our top of the line...
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but my dealer has informed me that the Nissan Z is the next car in line and that the Qashqai has been pushed back. He was hoping for some updates in April.
