  1. What changes to the current Z would you like to see in the new model?

Price price and more price! If they dropped the current model $5k, it would help sell the car. It's not a bad car performance wise and still looks great, but it's just not a good value at its current price and the low sales reflect that. Doesn't matter how much improved the car ends up being if...
  2. Nissan should learn from Toyota

Exactly and they are at a point where they might have to discontinue and stop production if they can't turn it around. That's why a name change is good and a totally different philosophy. Return to roots and compete on price and size/weight.
  3. Nissan ESFLOW inspiration for Z35? Will it be retro?

I think its safe to say the esflow and probably the next z car are bringing it all back to where it started, a very 240z inspired look.
  4. Nissan should learn from Toyota

They've badged the sportier cars Lexus (ISF, RCF, LFA). Unfortunatelly I don't think that's really given Lexus much of a sporty image. Too many old retirees driving the brand to overcome the image. And the FR-S they decided to badge a Scion. So really Toyota's image as appliances on wheels is...
  5. Nissan Z35 and the Kia GT4 Stinger

Let's pit what the Z35 could possibly see as competition in another future vehicle. Here's the Kia GT4 Stinger concept... info from Kia's site. Basically 2.0L turbo DI 4 cylinder making 315 horsepower, 6 speed manual, RWD, 2,874 pounds and 52/48 weight distribution.
  6. Nissan Z35 Photoshops

Here's another. Looks like this flat angular GT-R style roof is what everyone is predicting.
  7. Z35's competition

LOL @ that last pic Dantes. The Z definitely looks bloated next to the Scion. And sadly it's also 400+ lbs heavier. Can you imagine if we got the VQ engine power in a package as light as the Scion.
  8. What other cars are you considering?

A 370Z .... before i heard rumors about the possible Z35 coming. I think it's wise to hold off now or I would regret it majorly.
  9. Smaller, lighter, more reminiscent of the original Z

The word is it will use high-tensile steel on the Z35 in order for it to weigh in at a class-leading 2,866 pounds. Will that be doable with lighter steel and is it cheaper than aluminum? Seems the trend is towards more aluminum.
  10. Spiritual successor to the 240Z or 240SX/300ZX remake?

I loved the 240sx/300zx... give us a twin turbo!!
  11. Z35's competition

  12. When will we see the new Z? / What Autoshow will new Z debut at?

Rarely is anything major revealed in LA. when you can wait a few months and do it in Detroit to make the biggest splash why not? I have my calendar circled for Detroit and fingers crossed that something is shown.
  13. Z35's competition

I"m curious how the 370z and FRS are pretty much the same size but 400 pounds difference?? The FRS even has back seats. Did they use some kind of lightweight material?
