  1. Still willing to pay markup after all the reviews?

Yeah, it appears from the reviews they are quite different cars. I guess it depends what you are looking for. The Supra is more of a true sports car while the Z is more of a sporty car in comparison. I think the Z will sell well to the Z loyalists but I think once they all get one and the...
  2. Still willing to pay markup after all the reviews?

Good point. You could pick up a Grand Sport in the $60k range and it is track ready and will hold its value for the foreseeable future.
  3. Still willing to pay markup after all the reviews?

Precisely. You just have to give it time for the honeymoon to wear off. Once the initial surge of folks get them these cars will be selling at 10-15% off MSRP during end of month sales in the winter. This assume we ever get back to normal supply levels. They may never catch up with demand or...
  4. Still willing to pay markup after all the reviews?

I agree, that is how they keep the price of the Camaro down as it uses the same chassis as the Cadillac sedans. I don't think the Z chassis is bad, but they are asking for more money and they didn't really do anything else to improve it. It should at least have adaptive dampers at the $50k...
  5. Still willing to pay markup after all the reviews?

Thats because the GR86/BRZ chassis is very good and it only costs around $30k. Now the Z at $40k makes sense for the powertrain and after researching this car I think it is a good value at that price point but at $50k+ you are reaching a price point where many can just go even higher and spend...
  6. Still willing to pay markup after all the reviews?

I get it. If you are a die-hard Z enthusiast you will probably pay whatever. Very similar to the die hard Corvette folks. I am a price/performance buyer at heart so I tend to lean toward the better performance value since they are enthusiasts cars. The issue I have with the Z is that is it...
  7. Still willing to pay markup after all the reviews?

Don't get me wrong I like the car but the Performance trim is really a $45k car IMO. Based on these reviews the $10k really doesn't buy much performance when a 6 year old Camaro SS 1LE can run circles around it and sounds great while doing it.

You are missing the $10k-$15k in ADM to get that color combo and a fairlady Z badge. ;)
  9. NissanZClub Markup Thread

I bought my ZL1 off the showroom floor at an Autonation dealer for MSRP minus $500 Educator rebate. There are many dealers that will sell ordered cars at MSRP. The C8 is probably the toughest to get at MSRP but it can be done. Some of the larger Corvette dealers take orders at MSRP since...
  10. NissanZClub Markup Thread

Well, they did do you a solid and gave you $500 off. ;) Kidding aside you are in ZL1, CT4 Blackwing or even base C8 Stingray territory. I know this this car has a lot of history and the market is out of whack right now but if folks pay this kind of money for this car then then they need to be...
  11. NissanZClub Markup Thread

haha, $30k. You can buy a new GR86/BRZ for as much as the ADM.
  12. NissanZClub Markup Thread

I am surprised people would actually pay ADM for this car. I already feel it is overpriced at $50k+ considering you can buy a Camaro SS 1LE for less and it comes with 55 more HP and 100 lb ft. more torque, Recaro seats, Tremec 6-speed, HUD, E-Diff, Dual mode exhaust, forged wheels, F1 Supercar...
  13. NissanZClub Markup Thread

I purchased a couple of Teslas this way and my mind was blown. It is so hard to go back to the traditional dealership experience. You build the car online, leave a deposit, wait for a VIN and then you take delivery in like 15-20 minutes since all the paperwork is done. No dealer fees or some...
  14. NissanZClub Markup Thread

This crap is why dealers will be extinct soon. The manufacturers don't want this happening, they have nothing to gain from a dealer adding $20k. In fact, it hurts them, tarnishes the brand, frustrates buyers, etc. GM is stopping the flippers by voiding the warranty if you sell a Corvette...
  15. 2023 Nissan Z Exhaust Note

Agreed, at that price point a dual mode exhaust should be standard.
  16. US PRICING: Factory Accessories, Parts, Options for 2023 Nissan Z [2-tone paint, stripes, etc.] [NO POLITICS - ADMIN]

and you know body shops will never be able to match it if you need a repair.
  17. This Seems Like A Pretty Fair Assessment Of The Z From Car and Driver

Yep. With the manual version it sounds like you need a cat back exhaust and better tires right away. The brakes seem like they may be ok for some spirited driving here and there but probably need an upgrade for any track work. The lack of mag ride option in a car at this price point. I mean...
  18. This Seems Like A Pretty Fair Assessment Of The Z From Car and Driver

As an enthusiast I feel the same. For about $45-50k you can get a Camaro SS 1LE that has all of those features. (Mag ride, Tremec 6060 six speed, Recaros, dual mode exhaust, E-Diff, HUD, Performance Data Recorder, rear view mirror camera, heated and ventilated seats, etc.) Now, the Camaro...
  19. "First Dance" Nissan Z drive video by Hiroshi

Does this new motor like to rev? Does it sound harsh in the upper rpm range like the previous model?
