I honestly don't understand why anyone would install these and I am fully open to the explanation of why. I don't care who is behind me ... I passed them for a reason and they are in my rear view for a few seconds ... at most.
Where I live in the desert southwest, these aren't worth the time, we...
Question ... after installing, can the stock engine cover be put back on above the install?
Reasoning behind it ... is to hide all mods from 'others' that'd like to know 'what is under the hood'? :devilish:
Also, the pictures show the filters behind the grill rather than above, what is the...
I decided to reconnect the underdash speaker, not for the lane departure, but in case it is the rear cross traffic warning too. The cross traffic sensor hasn't alerted often, but is worth having ... idiots everywhere!
I have to respectfully disagree, only on the point that if you use this car as a daily driver, the stock 007s suck in ANY weather. All weather tires work well on my Performance. I have had the car for almost a year and only reached 6k miles today. I don't track it, but I have posted video of...
If there is a body in my hatchback, it will be a zombie or one of those irriating in-laws. Full Blown sarcasm.
Thank you for sharing ... but now I have another task for finding a tether strap ... :poop:
I went through tires.com and got the Continental Control Contact Sport SRS+ with the OEM specs for my Performance Z. I have taken a few corners and never heard the tires squeal ... which means I need to go faster :ROFLMAO:
The stock 007s sucked ... like a whore on crack.
I finally ... finally ... put the hood/bonnet popper bypass kit in. It wasn't an easy endeavor, but I am relieved that I finished it with a few bruises and busted knuckles.
I have no codes and no alarms on the dash, so it was a successful endeavor.
I feared those things destroying the front...
Found mine online at the dealer and knew I was walking out with the Gun ... white was a never and the last one was a bright yellow --- just screams to the police to pull you over. :poop: :lipssealed:
I put the spare sunglasses on the passenger side ... that way if I already have a pair on, they won't drop in my lap. Also, if I have a passenger that doesn't have a pair, they can use the spare ones. Thanks for sharing, it helped with the storage space in the console!
Paid attention today and the lane departure warning is the only thing I see that this affected, but I am okay with that ... I ignored it before anyway. I've been married over 34 years, I have 'selective hearing' down to an art! :ROFLMAO:
I took the time to wipe it down with filtered water and several microfiber clothes. I don't trust the local 'No Touch' car washes and am wary of the underbody wash ... I don't want the turbo air filters soaked with water. I did a ceramic coat on the entire car 2 months after buying. The beast...
There is a 2 lane 85 degree curve on the way to work ... posted speed is 35. I have been testing the entry to it as I still get used to the car/tire/grip ... this morning it was ~70 mph while crossing lanes and no tire squeal.
Drive it like you stole it!
