  1. Are you getting manual or automatic?

You don't have to justify yourself for getting an auto. People act like driving a manual makes you elite, but 15 year olds with zero driving experience can learn it in half an hour. It's not difficult at all. Driving a sporty car with paddle shifters is still fun, and it will without a doubt be...
  2. Toyota GR 86 vs Nissan Z

I can't believe this is a 3 page thread. They're not even in the same class in my mind. The only similarities are 2 door, RWD and manual, might as well throw in a 992 911, or maybe an Aston Martin Vantage for comparison.
  3. What will stop you from owning the new Z?

The only thing that would stop me at this point is huge mark-ups.
  4. New videos of the 2023 Nissan Z driving w/ more exhaust sound

For me, I'm looking at AMS intake, AMS heat exchanger, AAM 3" full resonated downpipe, Stillen 2.5" 'cat-back' exhaust, BTuned tune, HKS BOV. That should hopefully get it to mid-high 400's HP/ low-mid 500's TQ to the wheels.
  5. Front Plate Placement & Custom Plates

And Supra owners can get TRADE4Z.
  6. What does everyone do for a living?

And owner of a good boy.
  7. Colors for 2023 Nissan Z: Black Diamond Metallic, Gun Metallic, Rosewood Metallic, Brilliant Silver, Boulder Gray, Seiran Blue, Ikazuchi Yellow, Passion Red TriCoat, Everest White Pearl

I think I've narrowed it down to boulder grey, silver, or red. I need to see actual pictures and videos of them all first. I also like the blue a lot, it's just too popular around here, but I wouldn't be mad if I ended up with it some how.
  8. New England Z thread

I believe the yellow / bronze is only available with the Proto Spec. Would you get that if you found one?
  9. New videos of the 2023 Nissan Z driving w/ more exhaust sound

It has potential. Going to sound really good with a turbo-back exhaust.
  10. MotoManTV Interview with Alfonso Albaisa, Nissan Z designer

I have zero interest in a convertible, but I would love to have seen a targa or T-top version.
  11. Are you removing your badges?

I dont think it's possible to remove the rear nissan badge with the hatch latch button being integrated in the Nissan emblem, but maybe I'm wrong.
  12. Any planned mods for your Z?

Immediate mods: Window tint EcuTek tune Turboback exhaust Intake Heat exchanger HKS BOV Sooner or later: Coilovers Wheels Potential mods: Rear window louvers (for an even more retro vibe) Bigger turbos
  13. Covid & Vaccines discussion

Right, I don't think they (.gov) will legally be able to mandate it for everyone, but they can certainly make it difficult for you if you don't get it, such as condition of employment, travel restrictions, etc. Just yesterday it was basically mandated for all military personnel, and those that...
  14. Covid & Vaccines discussion

This is how I feel. I wish everyone would get vaccinated, but I don't think it should be mandatory.
  15. What does everyone do for a living?

USCG, 1.5 years from "retirement". Working on my Masters in Data Analytics and hope to start a career in that after.
  16. Let's talk about weight

I'll guess 3489 lbs with MT.
  17. *WARNING* If you put money down to "preorder" please read. Nissan confirms NO pre-orders for 2023 Z.

Nissan already said they aren't taking pre-orders. There is no reason to contact a dealership at this point. You're just giving them justification to mark up the price.
  18. New England Z thread

What spec are you hoping for? Me, I'm leaning towards a manual performance trim in silver with blue interior.
