I seem to have bent my rear right knuckle, based on my alignment. I was looking at picking up a rear right knuckle and upper arm from a junkyard 370z. Part numbers seem to match. Any problems with this plan? I think if the 370z bushings are shot I can swap the bushings from my Nismo's bushings...
Well I'm going SPL/Nismo all around. I wanted to keep the oem struts and springs because they handle fine. I wasn't planning to lower my car either. I just wanted more adjustability for track/autox
What size are the OEM Z springs? I'm planning on keeping the OEM springs + shocks for a bit before going aftermarket. I would like to go with NISMO over SPL because I think having a Nismo trim with Nismo suspension would be cool
I think I'll do fronts first, then rear. I'll do the work myself so I don't need to worry about labor. Mainly it's psyching myself up to hit the buy button. I'd prefer to go with Nismo arms, but I saw some V2 vs V3 issues in a different thread.
Tempting for me, but I'm looking at suspension mods first. I'm thinking SPL/Nismo suspension (keeping divorced rear in the back) for adjustability on stock springs/struts and stock ride height. Maybe combine it with sway bars? I autocross and track every once in a while.
I have a set of Dunlops on my Nismo. Amazing when warm, I love them. Horrible when they are cold. If you intend to do any sort of winter driving, get a set of all seasons/winter tires.
Wow the nismo tax for rotors is steep! I think I'll stick with OEM for a while, maybe get them turned later on (assuming the cost is right and the rotors are still healthy).
