yeah when I release files I make a point to target common home printers, and I usually do 2 versions that are cut up so they can be printed on small and large ones.
I typically use PETG which historically has been fine. 5 years of testing with my type R and it held up better than most fiberglass parts. That being said this time I'm going to try ASA which is a very standard plastic you'd find on cars, and temp stable past 100 C. It's basically ABS that is...
Hey Gang, figured I'd share this as I'm a fair way along with the initial bits I'm designing for the Z. For context I used to have an FK8 that I made a complete aero kit for back during covid, and that worked out so well I'm doing it again for the Z.
The end goal is front lip, front half...
oh that's not my car, that's footage of someone removing the bumper to install the speed forme grille garnish. Lol I'm too lazy and it's too cold to drop my bumper right now. I designed my way out of that by making everything screw in from the front of the car :D
oh i see. the part you drill holes into is part of the entire bumper skin from what I can tell. The little grill rectangles is installed in front of that part of the skin. So yes, if you pop holes in it, would be tricky to fix it unless you're willing to plastic weld the holes shut.
So
maybe easier with a photo- The red lines show where the screws go into the rebar, which is really a sandwhich of the bumper skin behind the grill, foam and the rebar itself that you won't actually screw into unless you use a 4" screw.
I suppose if you crouched down and look straight at it...
I'm assuming you're talking non-nismo. The plate frame has mounts that tuck in through the grill and screw onto the bumper skin/foam rebar behind the grill, and then has little "arms" up top that hang onto the grill and clip in. If you remove the bracket, you won't see the screw holes...
they quite literally are jekyl and hyde, the passenger and driver seats have different bottoms, the driver has that little thigh-separator hump.
I'm in the same boat, bigger guy (6' 280lb) and find that I'm sitting on the bottom bolsters. I like the back rest, but the bottom seat is just too...
Yeah JDM aero is real spendy these days. You're into 3d printing I'm working on a whole aero set for the RZ34 similar to what I did with my FK8. It won't be done until early next year but I'm aiming to have the front bar, a few front lips, side skirt or aero splash guards and a few spoiler...
