I know. I have had success for years using 5w30 synthetic in all of my cars. I change oil pretty regularly. Rotella T6 synthetic, mobil 1 and more recently Kirkland 5w30 full synthetic. Frequency has to be beneficial. I just do't know what 0 weight oil provides. More research.
Just chatted with him and he recommends 0w-20. I agree that the thin oil seems fishy and I did not ask him what is in his Nismo. That was a big oversight on my behalf.
My date of manufacture is 12/24. I put 600 miles on it over night and its smooth. The seat is a bit stiff but I use a cushion and get out every few hours. I am babying mine with very slow starts. I'm over 700 miles today. Have not had it over 3000 rpm and really have not seen the turbos...
Interesting idea. I have not explored adaptive cruise control. I just put 600 miles on it yesterday and today. I have trouble with my throttle foot because unlike all of my other cars which are 20 years old I cannot rest my foot on the accelerator because it is so sensitive. I just drove at...
After purchasing my Z from Avondale Nissan, I was favorably impressed with the organization. I am considering giving them a shot at maintaining my new Performance. Dunno. Dealers are a crap shoot but who else knows such a new car? Good luck.
The very same man. Avondale Nissan. As I said his enthusiasm is refreshing. He is a Nissan man through and through. Nice attitude during the dance. Persistent but not pushy. And it turns out I attended high school for two years in Tripoli, Libya with his father in law. Small world.
Thank you for the advice. I did not have any trouble keeping the RPM's low-it goes 60 mph at about 1600RPM's. It is an automatic. I need to investigate the miles for break in. The dealer said 1000 miles beak-in and oil change. Others have said 500.
1200 miles cannot hurt and is more...
Indeed. I did a lot of youtube and internet research and asked some questions. He knew everything I asked. He is totally enthusiastic about the new Nissan Z. It's contagious. I got an okay deal but I am quickly growing to appreciate the purchase.
Silver, which is the color of my 2004 350Z...
I drove my new silver 2025 Nissan Z performance home today. 120 mile event. I drove my 2004 350Z touring convertible to the dealer this morning.
Thank you for all of the help. It has been an educational and expensive journey. This is not your father's Z. As mentioned there are many hold...
Indeed. Thank you. My friend just reminded me that "if you don't fly first class, my kids will". I have been cautioned to be judicious for the first 500 miles which I will do.
Thank you. I am coming to the realization that saving even $5000 on a previously owned car like this might be expensive in the long run. Not certain the promise of a warranty and a 115 point inspection would help if said lead footed dealer did rough house with the car. I appreciated the advice...
I enjoy the sports car but I am not an enthusiast. I am recalibrating my expectations. The surcharges in 2023-2024 were short sighted. I am happier with the discounts. $89k is C8 level. I want a 400 hp car that is not as expensive as a Corvette. Onward
I am not going with a black car in Arizona. There are several black Performance Z's available. I feel gray or gunmetal is more my style. Thank you. Great looking car, however
