i actually just called toyota regarding manual supra, they dont have any eta unfortunately, but hinted that its more 2023+. did they provide you any timing?
400z is nissan s internal technical name and Z is just a gotomarket name the marketing department came up with later, they didnt match in this case but there s nothing unusual in it
i had the same feeling but with 53k supra you get a lighter and faster car, higher quality, better interior, higher potential, but the 40 grand Z has pretty much nothing apart from the not-even-400hp engine with lower potential.. so i m not sure even about Sport trim anymore seeing how poorly...
also they all complained of a loose electric steering with less responsiveness and no feedback on drifting... so the DoUBle WiShBoNe argument now kinda quiestionable:(
regarding exhaust a few mentioned that they put a shitty one on the manual Z because everyone would change it anyways. this makes total sense(I d do the same for wheels) but shouldnt that make a Manual a lower MSRP?
that wasnt my point at all, my point was that "only moron can expect nissan beat bmw" is a cheap excuse because they absolutely could, they have all the capacity to do that, in either performance or price. they just did not, unfortunately, this time. which is quite disappointing
