In general $40K for 400hp is good, but when you see what the base (sport) model has you start to scratch your head. The lack of LSD on the base model is concerning and no synchro rev match on the base?
The top trim (performance) model is the one to get obviously.
If base was around $35K-$37K...
Performance for me, but it's probably going to be mid to high $40K, so I will have to wait a few years for it to depreciate.. I would prefer the sport, but it's missing too many "Sport" items.
I agree with the poster above that there needs to be a middle trim between sport and performance.
I always advocate buying over leasing, but any sports car I've bought in the past I've never kept more than 4 years. It will be interesting to see what lease rates Nissan will give when the car is released.
So, will you buy new or lease?
I think I'm going to wait for a used one in a year or two with sport pack. Not saying $40K for base is a bad price, but if the used market corrects by next spring, then you can pick up great performance cars for $40K such as F82 M4 and C7 corvette stingray.
if it was $35K base, then 5K for the...
That video sold me on the 2022 NSX Type S....now only if I can win the lottery tomorrow, lol.
The updated exterior looks great IMO and the performance is definately there, but starting at $170K? There's a lot of options out there for that price.
Once pricing is announced there should be a "good dealer" thread where we list dealers who are not marking up and a "bad dealer" thread where dealers are listed who are makring up, so everyone can avoid these crooks.
It was the soft top ND. Maybe my 370z was in a accident and it wasn't reported in the carfax, but it was annoying driving on the highway with the road noise.
I feel like Nissan won't do anything as far as adding sound deadning, but we'll see!
I think for me it comes down to refinement in the new Z.
I'm curious to see if Nissan will reduce the amount of road noise in this car compared to the 370z. I remember driving my old 370z on the highway for a an hour or so and the road noise really annoyed me, so I avoided long drives on the...
Originally I loved the side profile and rear, but not sold on the front.
After I saw the Z Proto in person at the Chicago Auto Show the front looks much better to me.
