That would be unfortunate and I agree - not an expected reason for it. Love the unique-ness of the new Z and actually appreciate the "rareness" of it. I have had tons of compliments on my new Z and had lots of people give a thumbs-up when driving past them.... still only seen 1 other one on the...
I'll be honest, the seat "wear" just looks like dirt, is it actually worn through the color? Side bolster looks like rubbing from getting in and out but not bad at all. Is the leather not actually dye'd here?
Went from like the biggest Nissan to one of the smallest
Awesome! Agree the white Z with all the black trim / wheels, silver katana and blue interior is fantastic looking.
The holes were already there on my performance. I don't know if they are on the sport model, I would assume they are. You don't even need to lift the car just kind of line it up under the front bumper and see if you can see where all the holes line up.
Here is the gun I have, it's just a simple...
The A9 on the performance is pretty darn fast as-is. One of the reasons there is no manual Nismo is because Nissan said the A9 Perf would be faster than a manual Nismo and they didn't want that.
I am no connoisseur of automatic sports cars so don't take my word for it but from the ones I have...
Welcome! Sounds like you got a good deal for a low-mile manual Blue Performance. I got almost 3k mi on my 24' Performance now and will have a lot more in the coming months :D
Congrats!
I am not sure what the issue could be but definitely sounds like something is up. Seems like you can easily re-produce the issue so there would be no reason for the dealer / some shop not to be able to figure out what is causing it.
This definitely has a part in it. I live in a place that gets big snow in winter too - though I used to drive my Corvette no matter what as long as the roads were dry. 4 degrees (F) is the lowest I ever drove it on a grocery store run. This will be my first winter with the Z and I plan on doing...
Mine had the USB cable "option" and I noticed I didn't have them when I first took it home. Went back to the dealer the next day and got them. They are actually pretty nice woven cables in a neat little case. Definitely not worth the $90 though lol. Got a whole drawer full of all different kinds...
No problem.
It's why I thought long and hard about even installing it but ultimately decided I liked the looks of it more on instead of off.
If you find a good way to get it off I would be curious about it in case I ever decided to remove mine too - though I don't see that happening unless it...
Wow no more Rosewood? They must really have had trouble with that color - not a lot out there and I know people liked it.
I feel even more special now ?
Leather seats in sports cars always seem to get damaged / fade quickly as they take a beating from getting in and out and being so low to the ground most people rub on the bolsters, use them as a crutch to get in and out. I agree, pics would help.
Yeah something flat and plastic would be best. I used a metal screwdriver because I didn't care about the current caps getting damaged and I didn't damage them because like I said the "Nissan" ones are flimsy around the edges.
It is not easy to remove. I installed mine myself. They are METAL tri-fold rivets that hold it on there. You would have to drill them out / grind off the heads and somehow get the pieces that riveted behind the plastic out by somehow removing the plastic shield it is attached to. You could...
If you look at pg 2 (this link) of this thrread I go over it. Super easy. Just a screwdriver is al I needed the Nissan caps are kind of flimsy on the edge. The Z caps are way more sturdy...
