The Hydr02 Lite alone is amazing. Just did my WRX that had no wax left, after 1 spray the water was beading up and sheeting off. I use the Hydr02 Lite on the Z everytime I wash it. I'll never bother with wax again.
I didn't take a sample at 1200, just changed the oil and filter. I'll take another sample at 10k and probably no more after that unless I think something is up.
A report costs $40: https://www.blackstone-labs.com/products/
I plan to do an oil change every 5k, from what I've read, 10k is...
I don't trust modern car paint on cars in these price points. I know you don't want to hear this, but I took mine to shop within a week of buying it and spent about $2700 on the following:
full decon, with iron remover, clay bar process
engine bay cleaned and dressed
door jambs detailed...
Here are a couple pics, probably not too helpful.
Use a set of plastic prys so you don’t mar the plastic, it’s not very durable.
Here are some basic steps:
1. Pull up the plastic shifter shroud
2. Pull up the center console, there are couple screws on top and 2 on the sides behind the seat...
Got a report back from Blackstone labs on my 2024. I did oil changes at 1200 and 5000. This is the 5000 report, so there was 3800 on the oil. I used Motul 8100 0W20 Eco-Lite.
Everything looks good, thought I would share it here.
12/2/25 Update:
I've attached the 10K analysis.
Oil was Motul...
I uninstalled the Stillen shifter for the time being. The Billetworkz knob and boot retainer work fine on the OEM shifter and looks nearly identical to the stillen, just slightly taller. You just need to remove the spacer from the OEM shifter. See pic.
The worst part of this job is the linkage...
This is the first RWD car I've owned that has a temp sensor for the diff. But yeah, the oil temps stay low unless I push it then they get up there. They come down pretty quick though.
Good news everyone, you can remove the shift knob without destroying it, with the right tools.
I used a large pair of channels locks, vice grips, a belt and a tshirt.
Honestly was not that difficult.
I've connected my 15 Pro Max wirelesly but there's a slight lag, like with some bluetooth connections. Wired is of course fine, but I've used wireless airplay in other cars and they don't have any lag.
Anyone else had this problem?
Honestly, mine was great. Besides them selling the car 9k below MSRP, the staff was friendly and helpful. The finance guy was also not pushy at all and I didn’t purchase any addons. The sales girl also drove the car an hour to meet me at my local DMV to transfer the registration.
