The MK5 Supra has already surpassed the MK4 within the first 4 years of sales.
Toyota did its homework on market research. Its quickly becoming its own legend.
MK5 Sales per Year
- 2019 = 2,884
- 2020 = 5,887

This is a Z forum so I expect all comments to be Z biased.
But the truth is the GR Supra is and will continue to be a great car. This whole perception that Car Culture doesn’t accept it is nonsense. I get positive comments and people wanting a closer look every time I drive mine. The Supra is...
No they were too amped up on the free Red Bulls Nissan provided at the press release.
His comment that many of these Z’s will be found wadded up on Copart was alarming.

TL;DR
The Z is a better daily driver with its softer roomier feel.
The Supra is more connected to the road and track oriented.
That was my take on the review.

Does that include the $1025 destination charge and floor mats? I don’t see Nissan delivering many bare Performance models without bundling a few options in there.

I liked this review. It gave more of a everyday use perspective. And the guy didn’t act like he just drank a case of Red Bulls like the majority of the people they handed keys to.

Price will deter me. I want the Performance MT6 but not at Supra 3.0 prices. At $55K before dealership add-ons the Manual Supra is looking like a better value.
This is the Z spec’d to my liking.
Performance 6MT MSRP, $49,990
Destination Charge, $1025
Passion Red Paint, $1695
Splash Guards...
Thanks for posting, it makes sense now. Even the 2020 Supra is an over-achiever on the dyno.
The Z hitting 356whp is about right if you take into the account 11% drivetrain loss.
The 2021 Supra is a torque beast. It can easily hit 600 wheel torque on the stock turbo.

All the YouTubbie influencers will be snatching these up at whatever price the dealerships set. Just so they can boast about all the bolt ons they just installed for content. ?

I was actually pulling for the Z to be at the Supra level regarding power and trim options at a much lower price. I would have ordered a Performance in a heartbeat if they offered it at $39.9K.
For reference I paid $49.9K for my non-Bosch locked fully loaded 2021 Supra Premium 3.0.
