Seems like the threads on my Z's hood aren't long enough to engage the nut with the bracket installed.

Having some trouble getting the hood brackets to bolt up on my nismo. Did you order pedestrian or standard?

It'd be nice if Nissan made a nismo appearance package for the sport, or just offered the nismo in a manual. I'm curious to know if an aftermarket/nismo heat exchanger/radiator would make a noticeable difference on track.

Do you prefer the Bridgestones to the Dunlops? Tread on my tires is getting low after 2 track days + ~6k miles. Might have a few thousand miles left.

Does the Z use the standard or pedestrian?

I live in TX (a 2 plate state) and don't run a front plate. No one gets tickets for no front plate, at most it'll be a warning while they have you pulled over for something else. I'm not drilling my bumper

I prefer them in the cabin, they contrast well against the dark interior lights. You can change their brightness in the cluster settings.

I figured that my detector is about the same cost as a traffic ticket, so may as well get the detector.

I installed the Z1 undershroud on my Nismo. It mostly bolts up, two of the outer bolts on the piece that bolts to the bumper didn't line up, but no one can see it so I didn't really care. No one makes a Nismo undershroud to my knowledge.

I installed a Uniden R7 using the connector piggyback OP linked, it was a giant pain to install. I ended up buying a knockoff blendmount and snapped the pins in the process of installing, so I'm just powering the detector via the passenger footwell. If only there was a cleaner harness piggyback.

They should add that to the nismo page on the nissan website, I did not know that

I would take the car back and install the popper delete kit. It took multiple dealership calls and about 2 1/2 months for the dealership to get the new wiring harness for the popper recall

I did the recall. If you don't want the poppers imo you should just install the popper delete
