Here is a photo of a new Z with aluminum wheels that I created using Google Gemini AI. (told it to find a photo of a 2023 Serian Blue Z and change the wheels (and later the spokes) to aluminum) That was kind of cool!

Looks good. I think I like the bronze and aluminum colors a bit better than the stock black.

Gemini seems to be struggling a bit with the brake calipers. ?

Some more photos from the Apex wheel photo shoot with the polished aluminum wheels. Remember, this was to see the aluminum wheels against the blue Z and these are not the stock wheel size or tire size.

Apex told me that bronze is the current most popular wheel color they are seeing (for Japanese cars I think, maybe all makes.)

Hope this helps

the aluminum wheels blend nicely with the katana...
The photos of the silver perfectly illustrates everything wrong with black wheels.
Look how dynamic that car looks!
An entire section of the car just goes MIA with black wheels.

Give me more of this silver and/or bronze hotness! Such a great look! All business!

Oh. You didnt pick them up?
No, those were not the correct size for the RZ34, they put them on for me to see the effect of polished alloy wheels on the blue Z.

I recently talked with a shop that fixes curb rash and paints wheels, about the cost of stripping the OEM Z wheels to bare aluminun and polishing them. They said that was much more difficult than painting them and probably would not be any less expensive than just buying new wheels.

So I’m considering just getting the APEX wheels they have created for the new Z. They said they would give me a “best discount” for providing my Z for their advertising and web site photos, but I we never got into details of how much that would be. (I primarily did it for the chance to see what new wheels would look like and the fun of a photo shoot)

^ blue/gold are classic combination, but there's probably a better looking wheel for the z imho

I like planes and cars.
I like planes and Zs!

Beale AFB, north of Sacramento, had a car show early in 2024 where you got a photo of your car in front of a U2 spy plane. Beale AFB was the home base for U2 and SR71 spy planes. (And given the tight security getting on the base, I'm not sure they don't still have some Blackbirds around...) The show attracted over 500 cars.

Next time I'll take my Seiran Blue Z instead of the Blue Metallic 240Z.

Who doesn't? Whenever my wife and I go on vacation, there's a section of our photo album dedicated to planes, trains, boats, busses, and other vehicles.

It's how we get around the small blue marble we find ourselves on.

Also: Blue is best.
