I put Michelin Pilot 4S tires on my 24 Performance M/T. After only 12,000 miles, I'm starting to feel the rear tires break loose with fairly moderate acceleration. My tire dealer said I've probably got 3,000 miles of life left on my rear tires. I'm not a track guy and don't drive the car really hard. I'm concerned that my wife may hit a puddle and lose control so I'm going replace them. Has anyone replaced their tires with another type of Michelin or another brand and been satisfied? I live in middle Georgia so winter traction is not a concern. Thanks a lot.

I will probably buy ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus
I use these for the rear. Excellent tire. Did you have an alignment done when you put the Michelins on? These cars have terrible wear/toe spec issue with the alignment from factory so the rear tires just get demolished at about 10-12K miles. I went through this with the stock tires.

I'm planning on Michelin PS4S as well (but still less than 8000 miles on my car). I have similar driving conditions. I went to tire rack, shopped by size, and found the non-OEM-specific PS4S. These are what I plan to get when the 007s wear out.
Both (100Y). Both XL.

Oh wait. You're saying you don't want PS4S. Nevermind.

I've ordered a set of Continentals to be installed tomorrow. I'll follow up with my thoughts about them soon. Thanks a lot for y'alls' input.

Make sure you get the alignment otherwise you're going to be replacing rear tires a lot sooner than you'd like.

Thanks. I just searched local high-end alignment locally and up came a Supra site with a hand full of good recommendation. @Loco38SUP have you used either mSport or Tru-Line?

Took a 100 mile ride on the new Continentals this afternoon. They feel really good. (New tires usually do) Noticeably quieter than the Michelins. The ride feels a little more cushy. Might be a good choice for you every day drivers. Time will tell.

My Frontier for years only had the option to replace them with the factory supplied BF Goodrich P265/70R16 tires. When I did my last set in 2019, there were many more options, and I went with a Yokohama tire. I went for the longer tread life warranty, but they have treated me well and I'll likely keep the stock Yokohama's on my Z when the time comes their replacement. All my vehicles are daily drivers.

Seeking input from other (spirited) daily drivers of the Performance model. How many miles did your 007s last? I'm at 7500ish miles and my 007s still look great, so I'm just wondering, for regular street use, how many miles you got out of the factory tires.
