Anyone else thinking of / wanting to get some louvers on the rear window? I've always loved the classic Datsun cars with the louvers, and think they would look pretty clean on the new Z.

On that note, has anyone even seen anyone come out with louvers yet for the car? Couple google searches over the past few weeks always leads me to believe no one has made them for market yet, just a few in-house builds that have done them so far.

I like the louvers too. I’m sure ZAKUSTECH will have them eventually. That’s the brand I usually see on Z’s.

didnt search yet, but was there ever a quality built, mass produced louver made for the 370?

if so, could it possibly be retro-fitted?

I don't know about the 370Z, but a neighbor has a Challenger with louvers, and unfortunately, they're made of plastic, and the plastic is quite thick.

I'd be looking for some metal louvers, or maybe a higher quality composite plastic that looks like thin aluminum.

Looking at the windows, I feel like the shape is too different, it wouldn’t fit right.

EDIT: I put a contact request out to ZAKUSTECH to see if they are working on louvers for the RZ34. I'll update if I hear back :D

Just heard back from ZAKUSTECH - their email signature has a ā€œdo not share this emailā€ disclaimer so I’m not sure I can share it directly lol. They did say that they foresee making louvers for the ā€œ400Zā€ (their words, makes me feel gross believing in them lol!), but need more interested people in purchasing them before they make them (but they do have a car available to test on).

They also said ā€œThat would be a great survey to post up on Instagramā€ - I can’t tell if that was a suggestion for themselves or me/the community to make - but I don’t use instagram really so.. (I added a poll here.. close enough)

I’d be all in for it and was wondering the same thing. Here is a rendering of a body kit with the louvers….take my money! ??

I get it’s only a market of like 5 of us, but man I really want someone to make these already! Especially good ones like these, and not the cheap bulky plastic ones that always end up on Camaros lol

I’m with you! I’m not sure if a stock Z could pull it off without some other sort of mods (wheels, suspension etc) but I’d like to see it happen

I like the way the rear window Louvres look. I put them on my ā€˜77 280Z they looked good plus they provide security as it’s difficult to see wants in the trunk!
I’d buy they again
