Here they are!! So much Beauty it’s just not believable!!!. Okay so the 2023 Proto, 1990 300zx, 1971 240z restomod. 3.0 ltr Rebello Stroker. Full T3 suspension..nut and bolt resto. 5yr project just need to add the windshield.

Had my finger on the pulse of several dealers in town through a local dealer / owner contact. I had options on 8 in Dallas and the negotiations were quit interesting. First option + 25k, option 2 -4 +20k, stopped there and wrote off the limited Edition- not gonna pay that much over. Planned on a build to order and wait.

A Random conversation at a bar lead to a contact at Grapevine Nissan & we cut the deal over text @ +5k over list. Curious to know of limited Edition owners - what did you pay? The car is phenomenal, head turner for sure- I’ve been stopped 15-20 for people wanting to take a look. Love it, driving is fun again.

Hello Ladies and Gentleman,

I have officially secured my Z! Paper is all done and now waiting for delivery via enclosed trailer to my house within 2 weeks time.

As some of you may know me over the past year or so. During our 1 week limited pre order (before it went online nationwide) on January 29th of 2021 I preordered one yellow Z performance in auto transmission in a local dealer here in Toronto. I was apparently 1st on the list. As months went by I kept in touch for updates but nothing. Fast forward to December 30th, got the news Nissan surprised every dealer in Canada with one random Z. My dealer for the Proto but wasn’t selling it and heard dealers have a choice to sell or keep it till spring then go down their list.

Now, my dealer where I preordered said they have an order number but no VIN or update.

I searched all over Ontario to see if they got a yellow performance one but either it was a proto or different color or wasn’t sold. However, I found one near a small town near Ottawa (4.5 hours drive one way from my house) they had it and had zero pre orders. But had one guy who was interested but financing didn’t go through, I jumped on it! It arrived December 28th and sales guy was nice enough to share the video of the delivery in middle of a snow storm lol.

I immediately got my shit together and started paper work. Went to my original and got my $1000 back. Paper work, financing and insurance took about 2 weeks as I had get that all organized. Gave them a deposit and now it’s official!

I asked why nobody preordered at his location. He said it’s a small town of 30,000 people and snows a lot and people really don’t drive 2 door sports cars here. Moral of the story, if you live in province/state with snowy weather, go find a dealer in the smallest town

I could’ve waited for my original dealer till spring/summer. But I didn’t wanna wait and let them delay me again! As I didn’t wanna drive this car in the winter. I may have had time and wait but not letting summer run by and don’t have my ride.

Some may know I was very frustrated with the delays like most people. I was even debating to get a used C7 2019 but 3-6 months prices for used cars were crazy! Plus, who knows what a used c7 been through. They had low kms and didn’t know if it was tampered with. That’s why I hate used cars. Can’t know the total history of the car. So, I waited and good thing I did!

Sorry for the long story, but wanted to share my experience.

I already ordered Michelin PS4S and tints in the spring time. Then slowly do other mods.

Can’t wait to share my experiences with you all.

Be interesting on what tires regular folks change to as buyers start to get theirs z’s. It seems a few of the performance issues might be solved with better tires….does that prove to be true?

I have a 2008 Saturn sky redline auto which is our second one, bought it out of Michigan and had it shipped. Had just under 10k miles. It had original tires and I went with new continental extreme contact tires in stock size. They have tons of grip. Both cars stock was pretty easy to do a nice burnout, new tires takes a little more effort. taking a turn and giving it a little punch these tires grab and go where stock wound get a little squirrelly

if anyone has switched out tires without a bunch of other mods let us know results.

I don’t think you can get the Proto spec yellow in an ordered car - it’s a different yellow if not Proto spec

I just configured the car online - There is no NIsmo at this point, you can order the performance model in yellow (which is surprising - I was under the impression it would be more gold in it - different yellow) and had red brakes (which looks tacky IMHO) and only one interior option - black. you change interior - it forces a change to black exterior color

It's IKAZUCHI YELLOW as per the thread, it's a shame that it is an option on coupes as it devalues the Proto I think.

Unrelated question, but what makes you think your Proto is #58? Did you get a numbered plate or something from Nissan?

Wrong same yellow…I’ve ordered a performance equivalent in Aus …exact same colour as the proto

As stated in second post on that thread I stand corrected - it is the same yellow. I read early on it would be slightly different- but again I built it out on the site and you are correct / the options not available- yellow interior, yellow brakes & wheels
