They could be dealer demos?

Even though there are registered cars on the road, full compliance *could* still be pending. Very unlikely, but can import and register pending full compliance (ie, vehicle import approval for limited number of vehicles that are imported for testing/compliance).

As I said though, this is unlikely the case. Pretty sure these things have well and truly had their compliance done by now. It's not like every car needs to be checked... could just be awaiting the paperwork all clear though.

My thoughts are that dealers continue to be at the mercy of Nissan Australia. And Nissan Australia are trying to get all their ducks in a row and deliver the initial batch en masse rather than dribs and drabs.

Could be worse... could be subject to BMSB seasonal measures...

dealer demos are usually delivered to the dealer and then they rego them as it's their car.

thefact these were all done on same day with the same batch of plates makes me think they are nissan HQ, thus Media cars.

expect to see some well thrashed cars 2nd hand in 6 months.

but yes 2nd Sept I expect dealer demos will start appearing, along with hopefully some customer cars.
(and the fact I know a custoemr VIN is lower than one of these makes me think there are some customer cars in country.)

I jumped into BudgetDirect, as they list the Nissan Z as a car, but when I went through the initial quote process I got this:

Anyone had success?
I had a car stolen in the last 5 years, and wondered if it was just me?

which is very interesting as that's a higher VIN than the one assigned to a friend.

I hope that gun metallic is a manual and headed for WA for me.

To be honest, haven’t seen any yellow coupes only Protos…which doesn't instill confidence, I’m still hoping if they don’t have yellow but another colour in manual that they offer it to me. I like almost all colours.

One of the cars coming to one of our dealerships is a Yellow manual and was built in May. VIN is lower then the above three.

You're kinda right in potentially getting offered something else, dealers will end up with coupe allocations outside of the order parameters and generally will offer these, or sometimes horse trade with other dealerships. That said I would be surprised if you don't get your exact car in early to mid September.

Tried a quote yesterday on budget direct for performance coupe and it worked OK.
Still not listed on some of the other well known insurance sites

I'm pretty sure it's just me. I had a car stolen in 2018.
I just checked with ROLLiN' and they had them listed too, but only ask for a 3 year claim history.

yeah all 3 of those are Aug build dates.may has to be sub #40 as we saw a #39 with an aug build
