BMW Is Using Paints Made Out Of Bio-Waste To Save The Planet
BMW is trying to reduce its paint shop’s impact on the environment and will now use paints made of renewable materials such as bio-waste, or waste from sewage treatment plants.​

Cars is more of a catchall term, because full-size pickup trucks take the three top spots.​

The slideshow with comments lists these as 2022's best-selling cars in America - only two "normal" cars in the top 10 and no sports cars at all (note: that's "2022 model year" rather than financial year) ...

NHTSA Says You Can't Pick Your Own EV Low-Speed Warning Sounds
If you were hoping to make your EV or PHEV sound like a screaming goat or Nature Boy Ric Flair below 18.6 mph, you’re out of luck.​

If you're going to have sounds as a warning to pedestrians, which is needed, then it has to be an easily and universally recognisable sound, and the most obvious would be a normal petrol/diesel engine sound since everyone already knows what that means.

^ It has always struck me as rather stupid that they allow cars to be made which can go over (for example) 100km/h and then wonder why idiots actually do so on public roads.

Camera recognition of speed limit signs is of course, like AI driving, never going to be a viable option. There are numerous places around here where the speed limits keep changing, and at some points you can easily see two or three different ones within seconds of each other. Not to mention when the signs get knocked over or stolen.
