Same here. Additionally, having to pay tax or TAVT is enough to stop me from getting a different car too often. No way I'm paying $2500-$4,000, or worse, in TAVT on a new car only to do it over again a year later. For me that is a massive waste of money. Although a trade will drastically reduce TAVT, having to fool with a dealer a 2nd time while ensuring you get fair value for the trade is just not worth the headache to me.
