The surface/friction calculations and adjustments are interesting from a technical point of view, but I think the value overall will be limited off-road, at least compared to other key qualities.

For all that techno wizardry, one thing I look for is good articulation and ability to plant all 4 tires as much as possible.

my buddy just picked his up last week , this thing looks to scifi for me
My son goes to college in the same Illinois town where a main Rivian factory is located. He was often seeing the vehicles testing around town. Got to give Rivian credit, when announced several years ago, as an automotive startup I didn't think they would amount to much.
