Plastic piece on right, but not the left side of the car

What is this piece on the right side of the car? And why is it not on the left side as well? Aft of the rear wheels.

I looked at a few other photos online and they seem the same, but it looks like something is missing.

That's called an air guide if I am correct. It's actually metal, and it's a shroud that covers the end of the EVAP tank (the big plastic box in your photo). There is also a tab that the felt wheel well clips on to, and a hole on the bottom where the bottom of the bumper screws into. If you look at the picture, he is holding it upside down, and the hump is where the EVAP canister fits into when it's in place. Your car is 100% correct and normal.
