Interesting thought, makes a lot of sense. I like it.

And then the R34/35 are there in case Toyota comes around asking what they're doing with a Supra, to which Nissan can say, "hey Toyota, see this model evolution? (points to GT-R's) this is how you keep a legacy alive...ya jabronis"

Right, Gun Metallic is available with color matched roof only. It's just the camera/lighting/angle playing tricks with this particular color. Look above the katana in the pic from 11/2 and it starts to fade to a color closer to black as it moves towards the front of the car as well, but is clearly just GM.

I agree that it was said it wasn’t supposed to have the black roof…possible it is just the light

2 possibly 3 gun metal
So at least 7 possibly 8 …surely they didn’t hand build 8
